FOR SALE I think the time has come to sell my bus...Sold

Discussion in 'Late Bay Classifieds' started by z4alfie, May 15, 2016.

  1. After a long hard think and much heart searching I've decided to sell my bus and hopefully let someone enjoy it in the way I intended to.

I moved house two years ago and so he's been sitting in a lock up garage since. I find it really hard to get the time to use him.

I've had it for over five years and spent nearly 30k on it. Everything it needed it got. I've never skimped on anything in restoring it and I think it's about as good as they come.

I've just had a full engine rebuild and detail by Paul Weeding. Paul has maintained it for the last four years or so. It drives like a brand new bus.

No good for Late Bay purists as its not 1970s original because I've renewed everything including the interior with a modern equivalent. Smev is unused as is much of the rest.

Bespoke Volksmad interior with overhead cabinets housing LED lighting designed by Kenny Johnson.

It has an insurance agreed valuation of £30k and way too much to list here.

Always garaged, never had any advisories with a yearly average use of under 200 miles.

I'll include the awning, everything that is needed for a trip away including hook up, heater and cupboards full of stuff.

I'm looking for £22.5k and I'm based in Newcastle.

More than happy to chat about it. Here are some pics but a look back through my posts on here will show the history of the resto.

That looks like a right tidy bus, good luck with the sale but what a pity you aren't able to keep and enjoy it after all the time, money and effort you've put into it.
  9. Lovely bus. Someone's going to be very lucky.

    Nice advert good luck!!

I reckon that would go down a treat at the Western Park show if it has not been snapped up by then!!
  11. When I looked on eBay yesterday and saw some of the asking prices it started to look cheap!
  12. When I took it for MOT last year the tester said it was a disgrace that I'd only done 125 miles since the previous one !

  14. You can't sell it, you only live once so keep it and enjoy it, you'll regret it if you sell it

  15. I have seen this several times up close and it's a great bus and a real shame you are selling it!
  16. I think that because it isn't at my house, I forget I even own it sometimes. I cant always get away at short notice and I never get round to booking sites ahead of time so it ends up sitting unused. I do love it but it seems such a waste. The MOT tester will have something to say this time round as its done under a hundred miles since the last test and it'll be turning up with a new engine!
