I'm doing a back to Back trial for work at the moment on the galaxy s3 and the iPhone. We're a blackberry company at the moment so they've given me both to use freely to gauge cost differences due to data usage - I travel extensively so use it everywhere. Samsung is pants compared to apple. I take a pic anywhere in the world and it's immediately on my home computer and other apple devices via iCloud. I get to speak to the kids face to face on FaceTime from anywhere in the world in crystal clear quality, even from the air! It takes great photos and HD video. It has my iTunes on it. 99% of my music is 'procured' from other avenues and I've never had any issues with my music not working in iTunes. I ask it questions and it gives me the answer. In short, it provides you with everything you never knew you needed and more. It feels like it was made just for me. Shame about battery life but that is the same for all devices of its type. Plan around your travel and you'll be fine, or carry a battery monkey. Contrary to popular myths it doesn't make toast or tea. I'm writing this message on an iPad, which is even better.
I'm no Apple fan boy but the iPhone is the only option. Anyone who suggests anything else has either not used an iPhone or is a complete idiot.
galaxy wins hands down .....better spec ...screen made of gorilla glass.....the galaxy s3 is known in the trade as the iphone killer.....people only buy the iphone for 2 reasons ---there brainwashed by apple ..2nd reason there brainwashed by apple...they both do the same thing !but samsung does more .....dont be follower ,be a iphone killer .....my mrs has the new galaxy and all my family n friends are goona upgrade to this phone as it beats the iphone pants down .....go down carphone warehouse and have a go of one .......you'll see for yourself
If you already have a mac or ipod it'd be a no brainer because you'll already be using itunes. I like the better levels of customisation available on Android, currently looking to upgrade to a Galaxy Note because I want a big screen 5.3", my eyesite isn't getting any better. If your'e a luddite and not much into tech stuff just get whatever most of your mates have, theres not much between iphone and s3, if you have the same as someone who can help you sort stuff out for you you'll probably end up having a better experience with it
My old 3g has just come to the end of it's contract on O2, good to be on a monthly Simplicity Tariff, much cheaper. Mad how something 2 years old is 'old'! Being 2 years old the battery is almost useless, apparently that's normal. I did lust after one of those Galaxies and a phone you can talk to sounds fun. But, If I look at what I really use then it's email, gps, camera,tapatalk, txt and oh yes, telephone. All the rest, angry birds blah blah is all a waste of time I'd really like back. I'm going to go for an apple £55 battery replacement. You also get a refurbished (aka new) phone back so that should last me another 2 years and taking account of the tariff and phone costs, probably save about a grand. Probably getting old.... Cheers s
There's a reason everyones got iPhones...they're just great. They're easy to set up, intuitive to use and no longer do you need a computer to set one up. Like most mac products they just work. Although I've always had Mac computers and laptops, this is my first iPhone after Samsungs and flash Sonys...I'll never go back. Saying that i'd wait for the 5.
