I was going great guns on the doka, and then the weather turned cold. I can't take it when I am stuck semi motoinless these days.
Yep - a late bay - in light grey/blue - very nice condition they called it a camper - it had a covered pick up area to sleep in. Watch it on iplayer (BBC)
Been back on my garage roof today. Once i brushed the ice off it wasn't that slippy. Got the last 2 sheets on and the barge boards on the front and back. Just the ridge flashing to do now but i've run short on the small stitching screws so need to order some more.
Screwfix sell them are these the ones http://www.screwfix.com/p/timco-cla...rilling-roofing-screws-5-5-x-25mm-pk100/45475
Its galvanised steel with paint on the outside and an anti-condensation matting stuff on the underside. They're the sort of ones. Just ordered some off ebay for 1/2 that price though.
That's why I asked, I built a workshop in my garden with a steel roof just like the one you put up. But without the 'anti condensation matting stuff' I was warned by the vendor that 'steel roofs have a big problem with condensation' so I fitted a 'Visqueen?' blue membrane, under the roofing sheets which seems to do the trick nicely..........no condensation dripping down. Then I built a car port for my daily drive, using the same steel sheeting, but this time did not use any blue membrane. When its foggy or frosty, the condensation absolutely pours down over the car, from the roof support beams. Tony
For the extra £6 a sheet it seemed daft not to use it. I could have used OSB and rubber roofing instead but it worked out 50% more expensive. My carport uses the clear plastic corrugated sheets and it doesn't rain under that.
Yep. Need to replace the lower window surround on the window behind the sliding door which i couldn't really do outside. Also means i won't have to tidy all my tools away if it starts raining halfway through a job.
