There's a bit of smoke from the Adaminaby fire so a spectacular sunset.
My Fave poem ever, especially the second bit.

Ozziedog,,,,,,,, someone link it for me maybe ?
Personally I loathe this poem, but that goes back to being forced to learn the thing by heart at school.
Brilliant , cheers Don. I’m always surprised by how much of it I remember , and I’m guessing that , like you, I learned it at an early age in primary school just after I’d arrived from England. Another thing I remember is the song about the fourteenth of February nineteen sixty six that was on the radio and telly all the time, around about that era.
Ozziedog,,,,,,,,, any ideas???
The Decimalisation Song, I still know the words.
Haven't been on TLB for a long time, so just catching up on this thread. Crikey Don, you must have nerves of steel. Here's hoping for more rain. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.
The fires are still burning, I've just spent the past 10 days as a radio operator for the bush fire brigade so as to free up another couple of fully trained firefighters.
How you hanging in there?
Bloody glad you're OK Don. Some folk have been worried sick by your absence, though I wouldn't know owt about that.
Good to hear you again and that you've been getting hands on. All the best.
People here have been worried about you and all this time you've been playing with a CB radio.
1-4 for a copy...
Pick a window...
BINGO bongo *over*
Please could you give us all your private telephone number so that we can bombard you with calls/messages every time we worry about you?! . The second option is that Mrs Terrordales joins TLB just to keep us up to date, if she promises not to read your other posts about secret purchases
hope you’re winning on the fire front and staying safe x
Nice to hear you're still ok over there!
