  2. looks like your garage is an extension and the old garage is now a room. so really the extension was added after the pole was there.

either way oit looks well dodgy and i would get it checked out and say that you think it is dangerous. they may move it then.

  3. when I first read your post Chris I thought you meant you was constipated. I sometimes have what feels like a lamppost blocking my drive too

they will have a contract with the land owner from the time that the pole was first installed.these contracts are years and years old and really solid! i've been across it in a couple of landscaping jobs and when looking into buying a house. they've got you by the balls! you'll probably find that the pavement is your responsibility too, not your land, but you are responsible!

  10. buy a crappy car for as cheap as you can drive it from the top of your drive into the post to knock it over or make it more dangerous and just say the handbrake slipped 8) or say kids tried stealing it and only got as far as the post lol

  14. Just to update you all I had the lamp post moved, not just moved but they removed it, repaired the curb and moved it further up the road, its still outside my house but no longer in the way. They put a new thicker post with a brand new brighter light on it, it is very handy for night time security. I had to pay £1K I was happy to pay this, I emailed the director of Western Power on a Saturday night Sunday morning a representative rang me Sunday morning & came out that day, two weeks later the job was done, result! :)
