How perfect do you keep your camper ?

Some vans are restored to be show winners, mine was'nt I did it to use for camping and enjoying, I've made it useable for my needs, I was lucky I got a decent base van to start with but I dont treat it with kid gloves I use it

 

Mines as it was when it came out of the barn never even thought about cleaning it

 

I like things that look like they've seen a bit use. I think i like my camper more as time goes by and looks more used. I sprayed mine myself but wasn't the greatest job in the world, maybe the body wounds are covering it up a bit ;D

 

As you all probably know our van went through a complete resto 18months ago, but after having the van for ten years with not spending much on her the rust was eating her alive..

Of course once fininshed she was back to showroom condition, however this condition can't stay like that if you use it, which we do..

So, in the years to come I expect to have more work done, and damn the expense...I'm not going to sell her, so I not worried..

Just maintain your well, wax and polish and treat the underside...

 

I touch up paint when I notice a chip, keep him serviced, use him regularly and that's about it. The loving space is kept tidier than my home.

 

I havn't decided how tidy to keep my yet, its very untidy at the moment, and will probably just get a lick of paint to sharpen it up, the engine bay had some surface rust so rubbed that down, treated it and painted it, the outside though, i suppose i just want it to look nice from about 10 feet away that'll do
