How much have you used your bus this year ?

  1. Not a lot really, did quite a lot of repairs, rear brake cylinders refurbish fromt calipers engine tune and service.
Tried a camping weekend a Woodhill but that weekend was 60 mph gales so we retreated to a hotel at Sidestrand using Tilly as our transport from home to sea and around the coast of Cromer, Sheringham and home along Brancaster, Hunstanton and home.
Have used Tilly as a general day runaround just to keep systems and batteries charged and fuel passed along the lines.

  2. Nearly every week, for furniture shifting and runs to the dump. Got to earn his keep.

  3. Not enough - no camping due to self isolation - just few days out. Planning to go up to the Lakes before winter sets in - not camping though.

I've done 54 days fishing this year in my camper that's despite Corona virus where obviously I couldn't use my bus so I think I can safely say I use my camper a lot, no running problems but the handbrake has stopped working ,(warning @zedders @mikedjames I'll be doing the job soon and I would imagine I will be asking for your help ) and the oil light on the dash is not working but who cares,

It'll be your handbrake cables seizing up at the back inside the short flexible bit, it almost always is. HB cables are good value, get a pair. :)

As you know mine is a 71 early so I ordered 68-71
    I bet they are wrong:p

  7. One night away and a run out around the local villages every few weeks, and a 150mile round trip to pick up some new interior units.
With hindsight, buying a second one last year was a mistake, so at least one is going, probably both if MrsP is ever to go regularly - so the search is on for a decent T4/5 with shower, toilet and over cab bed.......

Unless your cables adjust inside the cab on the side of the HB lever... I think you ordered the wrong ones.

Not in the bay although the kids have used her a fair bit. I’ve camped in the T5 on mountain and walking trips, but not as much as last year.

Yes mine does adjust inside the cab either side of the HB lever so it looks as if I've ordered the right one

  12. 2 nights camping in Hampshire and that's it. But it was a very useful office/classroom during lockdown. I did the whole summer term in there. photostudio_1603526611143.jpg

Doesn't take long does it? I switched from golf tdi to thrashy engined tintop for my daily 30 miles and it almost bankrupted me! The golf turbo was non functioning and I could get average 70mpg nursing it. My record was in the 90's over 12 miles. I'd say the bus was doing about 1/4 of the 70mph.
<1/2 gallon a day in the golf, 1 1/2 to 2 in the bus.

  14. Driven it lots, but only 10+ nights 'camping'

Stayed over on mates drives/garage when we weren't allowed in people's houses. East Yorkshire, York, Huddersfield, Bradford on Avon.

Proper Camped at Keith's field, techenders and a night in the Peaks.

Not quite the number of nights we had planned for the Scandinavian trip.

However lock down 1 was certainly improved by the camper.

Wish I had proper heating to make camping possible in Lock down 2

Not done any long holidays this year, our main holiday was cancelled (France) and we were away for what was meant to be a week in the North East when Kim rang to tell us she had a redundancy letter and meeting - we'd only been away two days

    So..

3 nights in Exmouth at New Year
1 night Carsington Water - very wet.
1 night in Stratford upon Avon February half term - I remember it being flooded
    2 nights in Sandsend
    1 night Kingsbury Water Park
    4 nights in Lytham/Fleetwood
    3 nights Robin Hood's Bay/Sandsend
4 nights (over two weekends) Bidford upon Avon
    2 nights Evesham
    2 nights Brecon beacons.

    Guess I can't complain at 23 nights.

Plus a couple of nights on the drive, one of those almost literally on the drive as I was a bit tipsy

Used it lots for Food Hub deliveries - meant we could carry more deliveries so more people got fed. Plus we had the use of our toilet - a must during this pandemic.

  16. Wigan to Birchwood everyday it’s not raining and occasionally when it is. Love it. Think it’s about 32 miles a day.

Not once. I'm very miffed with myself but no furlough time and stress from the top at work meant I pretty much crawled into a hole on days off.
