i paid nearly £30 locally but have been told they should be about £19 , how much do you pay and where from please ?.:)

  2. Yeh £19 at the corner shop in the village.

  3. Last time I bought one it was about £26 for one - which is why I now use Calor Gas 4.5kg ones instead. Cheaper, and more gas.

  4. I think gooutdoors do them for about £20.

Being the very tight person I am we now have a 13kg propane cylinder, refills are about £26 for nearly 5 times as much gas as a 907!! Although the one we have at the moment came from my Dad so we've actually paid nothing for it lol ;D ;D

  7. I think we pay about £20 but you've just reminded me that I need to remember to fill up next week!

  8. £27 at my local gas place.
Paid £16 last time i filled up a few years back - i don't get out much. ;)

907 smaller is a benefit, smallest calor is 3.9 kg but cheaper also campingaz is only blue bottles (freeze in cold) red calor works in minus temps

there was a guy at camperjam doing exchange on campingaz for £15 i nearly swayed but i wantedto go over to red calor.

  14. 907 bottle is the biggest bottle that will fit in a westy continentals gas bottle locker. All the calor propane ones are huge in comparrison. :(

  18. Yep butane is no good below about 5 deg. I think propane is good to below -15 deg.

  19. I use camping gaz in summer as easier to get replacements when camping and Calor Propane in winter to run my propex. unsure of cost but get my CG from yeomans.

    Tuesday wildchild I'm a circle!

I have no idea as I just paid the man and takes the gas.

At atmospheric pressure Butane has a freezing point of 0ºc while Propane has a freezing point of -42ºc. When liquified gas approaches its freezing point, it ceases to vaporize effectively.

    Freezing point of butane is −138.4 °C (135.4 K). Boiling point. −0.5 °C (272.6 K)

It stops boiling at 0ºc so doesn't give of the vapour. so I've just learnt.
