    Great that stuff is out there still and turns up every so often .A few years ago I thought that at some point all the barn /shed finds would dry up but I was definitely wrong . I was offered a really rough incomplete Allard M- type for £2000 about 5 years ago and happily walked away and do not regret it as in the process i bought a load of motorbikes and spares from the owner . I love the whole thrill of the chase of buying old cars and motorbikes especially ones that I have not been advertised and I have discovered through word of mouth or a chance conversation with a complete stranger .

    1 -Mini = 1 never again
    2- escort 4. Not bad nothing thrilling
    3- ford capri - as a works car a JPS never owned one wouldn’t want to!
    4- ford cortina. 2, 1 mk2 1600e I liked, mk4 was boring
    5- land. Rover. 1 long wheel base ex military toolbox on wheels swapped it for a bay!
    6 -Range Rover- one mk1 loved it didn’t like the fuel economy but kept it until it died 10 years after I got it!
    7-transit van. 1 absolutely lemon!
    8- any Italian car. No I married an Italian I’d hate to see her driving a fast alfasud that i toyed with buying I’d be a nervous wreck!
    9- allegro. 1. It wasn’t a bad car/ estate
    10- marina. 1 van was good ex BT toolbox on wheels.
    11- any jaguar. New Xtype new clutch a month after warranty ran out ( ouch!)

    12-BMW. Two new ones 318 and 325. Okay but meh!
    13- any Swedish car. 1 Saab 96 loved it, should never have sold but only bought as a stop gap car!
    14- any Porsche. No- not yet but…
    15-Any Audi. 0
    16-Vw splitty. 1 rusty but I was too young (16 ) to know what I had so scrapped it - SO42 turret top. :oops:
    17- Vw bay. 5 love em!
    18- Vw Beetle. 2 good cars when they’re looked after!
    19- Vw Golf. 0
    20- Vw polo- mk 2 estate wife wrote off trying to smash a railway bridge down in the ice!
    21-Vw Passat 0
    22- Any triumph. 1 herald I bought for my bro and a triumph 1300 I couldn’t get right!
    23- Any MG- 0
    24- ford fiesta. 1 diesel mk3 my wife liked to thrash
    25- any Citroen. Cactus C4 my wife drives!
    26 -Any Renault. 1 Clio my son drives
    27- Hillman imp -0
    28- a pick up truck. One doka bay. 2 Toyota L200 HL
    29- any American car ( just a ford doesn’t count) -0
    30- any Vauxhall - 1 chevette wifes. 1 viva HA. Stolen whilst at a garage waiting for a replacement engine, I think the scrap man took it and they didn’t know what to tell me so told me it was stolen!
