How may litres in a 1977 Bay fuel tank please?

I not sure, but whatever is in there is worth more than gold ,

Drain it, sell it, pay the mortgage off
Holiday to Thailand

 

About 60 I believe. Don't you have the user manual??

Capacity of 55L seems to make sense. The most I have ever got in there was 53L

The answer is obviously zero. Like every other fuel tank if you aren’t one of the morons who went out panic buying yesterday. I’m increasingly beginning to hate most people in this country.

I don't have a working fuel gauge and can categorically confirm that on four occasions I have filled it with the five litres from the can & another 49.8 litres when I arrived on the garage forecourt.

I’ve got about half a tank still in there. Would keep most bus owners going until spring ‘22.

 

That's given me a thought...
We're heading 'up North' next weekend in the car , if fuel is still an issue I've got about 40 litres in the van and a Jerry can I can borrow to transfer it .

I went to an Esso garage yesterday, in the camper, to get £20 of unleaded.99.
Each customer can only have a minimum of £30’s worth, but the pump automatically stops at £36.00.(?)
I only wanted £20.00 worth.
They are making me buy more than I need…
