What's the best way to secure curtains when open and closed (so they just don't hang there - I'm sure you know what I mean)? I'm thinking about those small circle metal pop things? Is that the best way to go? Whatever anyone recommends, is there any chance you could post some pics please?
When we make your curtains we'll be making tie backs for you too... it depends on whether you want to drill a hole to teach them? Otherwise use velcro. But in our bus we use some powerful neodymium magnets to stick the tie back to the pillar
But maybe magnets wouldn't work so well if there's no bare metal, if the area around the windows is completely covered in that headlining material stuff? If so, what about these snap fasteners? Any good? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Snap-Fastener-Canvas-Screw-Press-Studs-Refill-12-Pcs-/280573139087?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_BoatEquipment_Accessories_SM&hash=item415376588f
Westy's have the bottom threaded on one of those net curtain plastic covered spring things. Works well.
tie backs, but we don't rely on the curtains to keep out light, privacy etc, thermomats (JK and others) are fab
Not too bad, they come with their own storage bag, but we can store them between the westy roof and the van roof (front hinge westy roof) or they go in the wardrobe Wouldn't be without them, keep out he light so you can lie in, in the mornings and when we're camping and the weather's cold they keep the heat in great. They also keep the heat out (if we ever get any sunshine) so the dog doesn't boil inside the van.
