..yeah I’m with you on this thought..I don’t really get it..to me all those t4s 5s 6s are just vans..yes vw do all they can to makerhem look fancy and abit different (colour combos etc) but apart from that..hmm I’m wondering if there was no t1s and t2s withall that coolness and whatever you call it, would ppl still facied them the same way they do now and pay such a stupid money for them? I got rid of my Moony and have a T5 autosleeper, have travelled Europe the last 4 years in it, spent three months last year travelling Spain,Portugal. Italy Croatia, Austria and Germany, best holidays of my life, go for it xxxxx
Yup, I've looked at T4's and T5's but can't see the added value of the VW badge anymore, especially as I'm looking for more onboard facilities rather than to cramp-camp. Makes far more sense to buy something built on a Fiat or Pug base.
Had one already. Wandered into a caravan centre one wet August bank holiday. Came away a couple of hours later having bought a brand new Swift Charisma. Hadn't even bothered to check if our car was suitable to tow it. And we didn't have a tow bar either. It was suitable, so we had a tow bar fitted. It spent six months on the drive, used mainly as a play room for our boys. Towed it once to Wareham Forest Touring Park then had it on a seasonal pitch for several years. It never left the site, even sold it there. We loved it but the boys grew up. I still pray for forgiveness.
