Help needed for wedding

Discussion in 'General Discussion' started by tyke2, Dec 23, 2013.

  1. Why thank you, it's very early days (1 week old give or take) & being out here I am a little short of everything, but hopefully, things will come together when I'm back home & can actually fulfill any interest that it may/may not generate.
At least the toe is in the water for not a great deal of outlay - Thanks for checking it out ;)

  4. Hi they can have Bertha as a freebie if they are interested. I'll even act as chauffer for the day. I wasn't going to rent her out as a wedding hire as she is more practical than beautiful (although I love her!), I was just going to stick with holiday rentals, but if they are stuck and don't mind having a green camper tell them to have look at my website www.coolcatcampers.co.uk and get in touch! I won't be offended if they go for something a bit more glamorous.

  6. Hi Victoria. Ill pass on the details. Thats very kind. I did not see their bus , but if its been in their family for a couple of generations I cant imagine it was concours!

    Thanks

  7. If @Tiny-Pie isn't free and there's no local shoes on that weekend we could probably help out?

I don't mind doing it for them, I'm in sheffield-ish tho my van isn't pristine. I don't think it's wedding car standard.

  9. Hi Merlin

Im not sure, but I assume that theirs wasn't pristine, more of a family heirloom , but I could be mistaken. I saw one at Rotherham show last year that had been owned by the same old couple since new in 1974 and was still in its original as new showroom condition.

Ill call the newspaper and pass on the magnanimous offers from TLBers.

  10. I might be able to help, its over an hour away however so wouldnt be fuel friendly but if all else falls through bare me in mind :) -1s.jpg

  11. How about a ratty pickup truck.

    No cooler way to travel...

It has 6 seats and by then will have 4 shiny new and matching wheels.

I'd be happy to donate. What do the bridesmaids look like?
    :D

Edit; its nice and clean inside by the way with nice clean seats and carpets etc.

  14. I was approached,to do one 20 miles away, I did one there 2 years ago, the time spent getting the van ready was good cause it spured me on to get it done,
But now with this other request, the comment of or lend a camper for a couple of hours, obviously they don't understand the relationship of camper owner, pride joy one of the family springs to mind,

  16. A little update. The local newspaper that contacted me have not come back to me. "the bride" has put out a plea on https://www.facebook.com/groups/209159219108727/
One thing I hadn't realised is that the damaged bus was a 67 splitty. I have passed on the very generous offers above and I will leave it at that. @Merlin Cat yours looks ace.

Cheers tyke, it looks better in photo than real life, but scrubs up well!! Hardly a match to a 67 splitty tho! Maybe I could just take the presents :)

  18. Its Orange. that's good enough for me.

I would have loved to do it but not cost effective. Very far away from me :(
