Help me choose a camera phone. What do you have?

My Sony Ericsson camera phone isn't too well after i dropped it in a rockpool on the beach. :

Trying to decide what i buy next is a bit daunting as theres literally hundreds on the market.

Not in need of a smart phone as it'd probably not get used that much plus they are stupid stupid prices.
I only ever use my phone for taking photos and texts as no-one ever wants to talk to me.

Can someone reccommend me something with a decent camera?
What do you have and how do you rate the piccies?

 

i used to love my sony erricson phones, always had them but when my last one C905? kept failing i had a W995? instead, that one was cack so i lost interest in them, i bought an i-phone 3gs last time (year ago) camera is poo really miss the picture quality on the sony, so i'm not much help other than to say there doesn't seem much choice in non smart phones, i still long for proper buttons not touch screen. If you can still get hold of one, the nokia N95 has got a really good camera, almost as good as the iphone 4 i think.

 

Can't afford (or really want) an iPhone.

The Nokia N95 sounds pretty decent though if its anything like my last slide phone it'll end up full of sand/grit/drirt before too long and make that loverly grating sound when its opened.
Camera on the N95 and the N8 gets great reviews though.

 

Just buy an iPhone. Don't see what the problem is.

 

The new galaxy is good but I would go for the iPhone. The cameras on blackberry phones are rubbis quality

 

I have an HTC desire and the camera is surprisingly good

 

I think my HTC One S takes really decent photos for a phone and has all sorts of effects (and you can get it on contract for £25ish I think)...

 

sony xperia S has a 12 thing camera.

 

HTC sensation XE... all my photos are taken on this x great for video too x

 

iPhone. Theres a reason why everyones got one. Theyre bloody good. But most camera phones these days have pretty good cameras. Even the cheap tat ones mentioned by the others. > :

 

Does anyone fancy chucking a couple of hundred quid into my 'buy a phone' pot so i can buy an iphone then?

 

Asus padfone with the tablet and keyboard... It's the next big thing

 

Not too easy to fit in your pocket though.

 

I have a Nokia N8 and the camera is pretty good (12mp), the phone is sleek and the touch screen is good. However it runs Symbian so from the point of view it is a pile of steamy brown stuff.

 

When i was shopping round for a new phone samsungs seemed to get a good write-up for the quality of their cameras.

I've got a Galaxy Ace, it's only 5mp but takes far better shots than my mate's 8mp HTC desire. It was relatively cheap and there's an updated "plus" version of it out now.
