Ace! Are you keeping it as a panel van?

I love them too. Good to hear you're leaving it as is, not many of them left like that without the windows cut in.

Just look on here. Usually it’s towards the last weekend in April & September.

  7. I totally agree, everything inside will be retro fit, and slide out on rails nothing will be permanently fixed in so as not to hack it to bits, we can’t wait to start attending events (like everyone on the planet) and giving back to charities and Vw events around the Uk and james meeting and enjoying the Vw scene.... as he should :)

  8. Have you changed your fuel lines and fuel tank breather lines ? It is most important to do this as otherwise you may not have a van for very long! If they look like the vacuum lines I hope you have a fire extinguisher handy.
Bus looks good by the way

  9. Hi yes I’ve changed the complete line, as it had been cut at some point to drain all the fuel out of it this for me was really fortunate as it left the tank sealed and clean/rust free also carb feed pipes changed as one was split . Thanks for the advise

Same sorta thing mate, timeing and valve gaps would be a good start.

  11. The tank breather lines will be dodgy as well and hopefully you had ethanol safe pipe used

    Thanks!

That large, open pipe I queried is the servo take off.

Have you got a pipe loos on the left hand side of the engine bay, will have a small black non return valve which leads towards the lower left of the bulkhead cover hiding the petrol tank?

Its likely to be black plastic..likely but may not be!

  16. Change those braided fuel lines on the fuel pump now, one of them looks wet through and they are old!

  17. If the tank was left totally drained, it’s likely to have formed rust deposits, which may come though your fuel lines. Regularly check your fuel filter for signs.

  18. Yes I had a camera that a plumber friend lent and checked it all first.
