  1. advice please , that "fan "type assembly at front of my bus underside which i assume pulls the heated air forward , what is the proper name for it ? thanks

  2. Are you talking about "Ambulance Fans" fitted into the air ducts left and right?

  3. dunno the name mate , its connected to the heater tube as it turns "up" towards the (upright pipe inside front of bus) ive always assumed it draws the air up the pipe? system . i also assume its an aftermarket fitting cos apart from all else it looks well new

  4. There isn't one. Someone's fitted something odd to yours in the past.

Air's pushed to the front of the van by the engine cooling fan normally.

  5. ok ta for your info, will investigate further

  6. is it white?

I recon it's probably a bilge blower... I don't think anyone sells them now, as the fans melted in them due to the heat from the vw heating system

  7. The fan is the same as the one in the engine bay with a type 4 motor. I think there is a pic in the Haynes manual of one

  8. sorry re my delay replying , its black in colour , it has flexie pipe fitting both ends so fits onto origional piework easily and starts up off a switch on dash , its not in its self a heater of any sort, it seems/does pull the "hot" air from back of vehicle to front and does it well

the feed to the relay is live when you slide the heater lever down it completes the circuit and earths the fan starting the motor, if you look at the rear of your levers you'll see the wire. some peeps override and just wire a switch to the fan and do it manually

  16. hey mr grey , had a look , >feed from fuse box 2 switch(no relay) its a 2 setting (speed) switch on dash , live 2 unit , an earth , thats bout it , please be aware i did not fit/wire in this unit so ,.... mine"s works well, seems simple enough , hope this helps , assume from other posts , help if needed is at hand , cheers .

  17. Cheers peeps for the info. I'll pester more when the fan gets to the pile
