Have you had covid now?

I think a lot of us have had it now to varying degrees. I had a bad covid like virus the Christmas before it was officially called a thing in the January, I was quite ill for me and lost a stone and a half but got through it. Then I had it again last year but as I’d had the jabs it wasn’t too bad.

Not sure about the jabs I’ve stopped having them since I had the thromboembolism in my leg, a lot of people are having embolisms and thrombosis type illnesses lately and there is a big lawsuit against Astra zeneka going on at the moment!

    Have you had it yet?

Yep, caught the fecker in the walk in centre waiting room 10 days ago. Good old NHS eh? Left a youth sat there for hours dripping sweat, coughing and snotty, didn't even give him a mask. I'd bet he infected everyone else in there too. How hard would it have been to slap a mask on him or stick him in a cubicle?
Up until then I hadn't had it or any jabs. Was a bit suspicious of the ££ race to the jabs and that the numbers showed the effectiveness wore off very quickly. It had been easy for me to just avoid people.

  5. I am the same as you - horrible flu at Xmas 2019 - then a bad bout in summer 2022 - had 2 jabs in 2021 and none since then - have had 3 friends die in 2022 with same symptoms - stroke first then hospital then a heart attack after having boosters

I tested positive twice, last year was after Motley Crue - I have had worse hayfever.

Since then I have been fine, touch wood despite going to lots of gigs :D

I lost a lorry driver workmate. He was 55 we couldn’t locate him or his truck one morning and the gaffer sent out an all points alert. Found him in his truck in a lay-by dead. He had a pulmonary embolism during the night. Poor soul laughed at me when I said I wasn’t taking the vaccine any more.

First thing a nurse asked me when I had my embolism was “ have you had your jabs?” I replied “ yes, why?” And she just rolled her eyes x

I think I had an Artisan version of it, before it was trendy.
Only for about three days, though.
    Been fine ever since.
In fact… I havnt even had a cold.

Got it about 10 days before the first lock down. I had been at three different campuses in that week and Heather had been working at four different schools. Kim was also working in a lettings agency that mainly let to Uni students.

Took Heather and me about a month to recover, Kim still has never recovered :(

Heather has had it twice since, and Kim and me once - horrible each time.

I got the Delta version when we went away to the Cotswolds, and went to a crowded pub where everyone was acting like it had never happened.

I never did get my sense of smell back, other than for a fleeting second or two sometimes, and now I can blame long covid when I actually cant be arsed to do something.

I'm the same as most by the sound of it. I had a horrible flu like virus in the January before lock down and have had 2 bouts of "official" covid since, both after being at crowded gigs. I had the initial 2 (Astra Zeneca) jabs and the first (Pfizer) booster but haven't had any since as I started to feel a bit wary of them. I was pretty rough after the first jab, fine after the second and rough again after the booster. Im still not sure what was worse the effect from the jabs or actual Covid!

  14. As far as I know I'm a no. But who knows could have had a weaker strain without knowing.

Yes, last year, tested +ve for about 5 days. I was not too seriously ill, have had all the jabs, not had Covid since.

Same, same... flu type thing in the January of 2020, but it was winter and to be expected, so who knows.
Had me jabs when they were first offered, and despite having a really nasty bug in June 2021 (negative test, but it really floored me), I didn't get COVID until January last year - and then I only realised I'd got it because I suddenly noticed I had no sense of taste (scampi fries can normally be smelt and tasted from 2 miles away, so it was pretty obvious!) Positive test, but it was nothing compared to the virus in June 2021 when I felt like death for 3 weeks but tested negative.
I've just started with a nasty cold, cough, achy, bug type thing in the last couple of days... should I test? Wouldn't hurt - but it'll just be a cold for sure. It's winter.

Or was it just a seasonal bad cold…

Twice , both times after vaccination.

Neither time really took me out, during one of the bouts I went outside and worked on the bus in the open air as being less likely to infect my family..
