I am trying to find a courier to collect a bumper from Norwich to Solihull but every courier I have tried has a 'restricted items' list which contains car bumper. The small print says that if the courier turns up to collect something which is on the list he will not collect it and I will still be charged. Has anyone else had this problem?
why not wrap it so it doesn't look like a bumper and say it is a rather large catering pack of spaghetti?
parcel2go does not post bumpers according to their 'restricted items' list - not sure how to package a bumper without it looking like a bumper.

Pick up the phone, and phone a courier company... you'll need to know the dimensions, but once you've explained that it is a metal bumper, you should be good BTW I normally use city link
I've posted 3 bumpers, all via Citylink on parcels to go. I think bumpers are not permitted, but I assumed they were covering themselves expecting people to be sending massive fragile grp bumpers. So I sent a long section of metal channel instead be tight with the lengths and weight, it'll be fine. Cost me about £10-£12 I think!
Thanks peeps - asked the seller to put it in a big square box rather than wrap it as a bumper and described it as 'car accessories' - £10.19 with TNT through parcel2go. Surely the guy who picks it up won;t be bothered?
Mate i used to delivery bumper when i was a courier.....u tried shiittty sprint ..soz city sprint courier......they have no restrictions.....i never use city link as half the time round here parcels seem to go missing ....but there signed for by myneighbour......funny thing is my neighbour is a old mate and never signed ....gits........
No, but he will throw it into / out of the van (actions repeated at the depot, on the long run, at the depot again and then on the delivery van), so bear this in mind when doing the packing.
