Group buy interest... Dellorto Carbs...

Discussion in 'General Discussion' started by Joker, Mar 19, 2012.

  1. i`d take a pair of option 2 DRLA 40`s

  2. I do like these group buy offers, it's great people are prepared to put themselves out for other TLB members.

Sadly I've already got 36 drla twins sitting in my shed, otherwise I'd be all over this group buy.

Where would you buy the manifold and linkage kit from? Think I've seen em for £200 on vw heritage but wondered if someone knew of a better price.

    I'm in for option 2.
    1 pair please.
    Good work Joker. :)

  4. Just wondered are you sure these are DHLA carbs? If so they are horizontally mounted. I ran DHLA carbs on a mk2 escort years ago.

The DRLA are the ones which will fit our vans as they are mounted vertically.

  5. I've been told DHLA won't fit.

    Will they?

  6. DHLA are sidedraft carbs. We need downdraft ones for our buses. :(
Unless DHLA carbs were also available as a downdraft?

Joker, are they side or downdraft carbs?

  8. Option 2 for me please, but either would be of interest if not enough interest in one option

  9. oh forgot to say i be interested would prefer option 1 but not sure which bus there going on yet so may need a smaller set to suit a 1600

I'm interested be it option 1 or 2, but as some of the others I'm running a 1600 tp, so if some suitables can be sourced I'm in

Joker, like most I assumed the DHLA was a typo on your part and your getting DRLA carbs. If they are DHLA's then count me out. Sorry.

    If DRLA I'm still in.

Hi Joker, can you clear up the DRLA / DHLA confusion? I would imagine that DHLA's are going to be of limited use to most folks on here... If they are DHLA's then in the words of the Dragons, I'm afraid I'm out too!

  16. DRLAs are what you need.

Re size for a 1600: 40s should also be fine...they're just physically bigger to accomodate bigger venturis. Everything related to operation of the carb is configurable, so with 28mm venturis and suitable jetting they should be fine on a 1600.

  17. Hi,
I'm in for option 1 & 2 but they MUST be down draught DRLA's and NOT side draught DHLA :)

  18. Id like to log my interest in a set of DRLAS for a lawnmower engine dude

  19. I'm out, sorry, my engine plans have changed.
