Also something that has come to my attention recently that every program I see on TV looking at the past, in the background is always a Late Bay (Not early or Split) It seems we where a big lover of the Late in this country. Also to back this up every Early I see is a lefty meaning that it was imported and prob in the past not that many in this country. So if we are staying true to our british retro beliefs then Late it is. Oh deer I prob opened a can of worms - Just an observation.

Somone may have some sheet of all the ones which was produced in this country and prove me wrong. Or maybe we just started filming more general stuff in the 70s.

It feels these days that Late is the underdog and its all about the Early.

PS I also would love an Early, they are good looking, but Late is also.

 

There all LHD campmobiles the earlies I've seen - boring

 

The lates are fine ,great layout the berlin and worth importing ,but the earlies are shocking inside ,no idea why people would import that conversion.

 

Lates are very underrated, had a look round many buses and conversions, and a late Berlin just works really well, with a 2l engine too you have an awesome package.

I still love the look of a split, but not to drive and camp in

Might even send a picture, mines never been in print, but it is just another late westy ;-)

Be good to see some of the other conversions in good condition, or holdsworth, Viking, jurgens etc

 

Did you see last month C&B? It seemed to be a Late Bay special! It made me feel all warm inside!

 

Agreed. Can't say i'm of the patina front fan club though. Did it also feature the EB high top?
