Get your Bay in Camper&Bus magazine

Discussion in 'General Discussion' started by Henry, Mar 4, 2013.

  1. Hi all

My name is Henry and I have recently become part of the editorial team at VW Camper&Bus magazine. I'm just doing the rounds on the forums and introducing myself.

I'll be in charge of the Show Us Yours section of Camper&Bus, in which you have the chance to get your van in the magazine.

Just tell us a bit about your Bay in around 200 words and attach a few pictures of the interior and exterior.

As well as that, we're always looking for bits of news, so don't hesistate to contact us.

If you're interested, our email address is camperandbus@ipcmedia.com.

We look forward to hearing from you!

  3. Hmm, call me a cynic but after having my bus displayed at the Volksworld show in 2010 and being promised a magazine feature would be on the cards, I have heard jack since....

  8. Ned from hayburner has first dibs on featuring my bus when its finished
However if ned doesent want to feature it then ill send you a few pics in via email

Its going to be different to the normal scene so may be a bit of a controversal bus

  9. Oooh - I have a cheeky little spring photoshoot lined up with my yellow camper on a picnic next month - would love to send through some of the pictures! :)

  10. After getting my pickup featured in the TLB calender in 2011 , I have already hit the heights of extacy anything else will pale into insignificance...

Good look with your alleged new job...

  11. I thought you had to feature in Camper & Commercial first to grace the pages of Camper & Bus!!!

Only last night I opened my iPad edition of the new issue to read quite a few pages of exactly the same trip with exactly the same pictures that I read a good 4/5 months back in Camper & Commercial!!!!

Sorry guys for being a bit negative but I think you should read the competition first!!!

    Scotty.

  12. DITTO had the same, we won 4 shows and was promised a feature as well . Diddly squat since.
Ever the optimissed, they must have lost my email address .

Probably got a longer waiting list at C&B...better quality mag IMO, pics & text are better and alot less typo's..

Not enough late bays featured in either tho', so if this generates a few more, then good on ya Henry..

  14. They are all pretty poor balh blah blah selling plates for "died in the wool" vdub enthusiasts that provide very little in the way of objective product reviews, research into anything other than doing a how to on some mundane element of maintenance that advertises a workshop and consist mainly of adverts that you pay for the pleasure of recieving. I buy the occasional one then wonder why the hell I spent that much money on something too glossy to wipe my arse with.

Why would they want to feature my unrestored, slightly rusty, covered in dog hair bus is beyond me. :p

  16. Remember it's a 'Readers Wives' style 'Show us Yours' section...Not an article on your beloved with a studio photo session. Yet another avenue for the self aggrandising attention seeker.

In fairness to them I did a write up on Run to the Hills & promptly got a cheque for £100 (which her indoors took a liking to) I'll do them a feature on our buses
