I dont get this. It appears that the reason why i cant get 1st and 2nd with the stock shifter is just down to adjustment of the plate. The odd thing is that the Scat is a mile away. you can see from the picture that the ball is no where near long enough to engage with the socket. Any ideas?
thats what im thinking too. it must have been bodged somehow because we have been using it for 12 years. Renewed all of the bushes before it went to the garage which has reversed the bodge and left me shifter less. Any guesses as to the year that this will fit?
OK. Bought a CSP shifter yesterday. Turns out that the Scat shifter I have is for a split. Dont know how it managed to work for so long. Any how ill sell the Scat to offset the cost of the CSP.
Yeah the CSP does look good. Easy to fit too. If i had one criticism it would be that there is a bit (tiny) of sideways movement when changing gears.
