Fuse holder

Discussion in 'Mech Tech' started by Lord Congi, Mar 13, 2013.

  1. I recently needed to change the fuse on my power control unit and when I removed the fuse holder it just crumbled into bits.
Cant find one anywhere as the unit is really old ,was wondering if any electrical people could source any ?

Cant change the fuse older itself as the unit is riveted.

heres the replacement I'm looking at (cant see the holder though) would this fit?

  2. That's probably about right going on the dimensions...

the glass fuse will pull out of the holder
if you measure the length and the rating stamped on the metal ring and i can send you one or you should be able to pick them up in halfords or b&q

  10. If the fuse holder just crumbled like that, is the power control unit itself still safe to use? Perhaps you ought to replace the whole unit. Just a thought.
