Do you have a hole/hatch cut above the tank where someones took the easy route to replacing the fuel sender at some point? If not its looking like your going to have to remove the engine and drop the tank dude At least if you drop the tank you can also inspect and replace the breather and fuel filler hoses if needed
Just read your symptoms. Check and replace fuel pipes. I had one collapse in on itself and restrict fuel to the left carb when the engine bay got some heat. All other pipes were fine. It was just one side.
Well I ve changed the pump checked the breathers tried to run it and it wouldn't it run tickover but not rev checked everything again still getting fuel tried it one more time but just left it a few mins ticking over then opened it up to about 1/2 way and jammed the throttle open for a good 10 mins and it was fine free rev etc after stopped re started The only thing I haven't done is drive it as I was running out of time I ll see if I dare go to work in it Tommorow
Did you blow all of the pipes out in the end - if so, and they blew through okay and its running okay now, I reckon you'll be fine to drive him...but dont blame me if you breakdown going to work did you run with the fuel cap on or off - this would show up if the breathers where working correctly
I took the cap off but there was no hiss So I put it back on I blew thru the pipes and could feel air smell petrol so there good The fuel line has nt been blocked today So it may of been a case of not enough in the float chamber Or totally something else it's running but I don't think it's fixed lol
Sorry to say it lowie but i very much doubt its the fuel pump causing you the problems Make sure you carry the tyre inflator with you when you go for a run so you can blow back through to the tank if needs be
well it got me to work and back without any problems it seemed a little sluggish on the way to work but seemed better on the way home
