fuel gauge vibrator

  1. Hi All
    some time ago i saw a simple circut diagram for an electronic version of the fuel gauge vibrator on a late bay,not sure which forum but i cant find it now,does anyone still have a link or can recall it?

One of the many jobs ive done was Furniture Removals , some peeps bought the whole package, i.e. we went in and packed the lot /everything, you would be surprised at what we would come across in doing our job ! Degree qualified, 30something, mortgaged,single and living in the home counties birds have >>no shame !

  4. I can't find a circuit diag either, but replacing it with a standard 75xx (Maplins etc) voltage regulator should be fine. The difficulty is working out what voltage to set it to, as the vibrating reg gives an "average" voltage. I'd say about 6V.

    Some busses had an instrument regulator with a zener diode in.

    thanks for the replies,the artical i saw used a couple of components wired togeather and fitted into the original casing making the whole thing look stock,seemed like a good alterative to the after market ones
