My front beam has play in the top tube between the top tube and top arm where it slides in. Is this common and is it just a replacement of the bearing? If so how big a job is it?
Theres only bearings and a seal in there dude How much play is there? There are urethane bush kits available for them but avoid them like the plauge
Seems like quite a bit, I have a red 9 kit for lowering it in the front so don't know if the lack of leaves in the front is making it worse I am pulling the arms out tomorrow so will have a mooch
could be that you've not got the grub screws tight enough... I've seen that before with the red 9 kit...
Grub screws were tight, looks like its play in the bearing so will get one to replace it, Just not sure how I will get the old one out, Anyone done one?
you'll need something like this http://www.machinemart.co.uk/shop/product/details/cht251-10-pce-slide-hammer-puller-set?da=1&TC=SRC-slide%20hammer
with the red 9 kit i don`t think you want the grubs screws tight on the solid lower torsion spring ??
