Wow, just finished watching... what a race!!

  3. one of the best, ive seen parts of for a few years...

  4. Fair play - he admitted his shortcomings this weekend , Probably relief at pulling a decent finish out of the hat and Nico helping him out ...
All in all a PROPER race and a fitting memorial to " #17 "

    :hattip:

Was a great race, I didn't come on here whilst watching as I was busy doing stuff, literally watched about 15 min before, 15 after and back on it.

It does seem that the change in start procedures / manual clutch settings has served up two great races... How long before the Mercs get that right and sanitise the races again?!

  8. Great race, brilliant drive from Vettel and the red bulls, shame for Kimi as would have been a solid second, would have been good to see Ricciardo and Vettel go head to head.

  9. Here's a conspiracy theory for you - it was mentioned by Suzi perry before the race that spectators were being turned off in Europe because Ferrari weren't winning - and Red Bull have been saying that they will pull out because they are not winning. Mercs are so far ahead now they are virtually uncatchable - why not have a bad start once in a while to even things up a bit?
Oh - and Ricciardo - the Italian from OZ did a nice destruction job on the Mercs too - mind you Rosberg did his best to take out his team mate!

  10. I doubt it to much money involved. Seemed more like the mercs couldn't stop driving into the RB.
Hamilton dropped the ball all by himself against Rosberg the gap was never there. There is no two ways about it Hamilton is one of the best on the grid but his head is soft and when the boat gets rocked he tends to crack.
I suspect he thought Rosberg would make it a bit easier for him.

Kimi confirmed for Ferrari 2016, that suprised me, i thought he'd be off.

  12. Yeah I was pretty surprised to hear that too though he obviously realises if he quits again it's career over. I've never really taken to him to be honest, he's obviously a top driver but has never consistently performed as well as he should of. Bit of a waste of talent.

vettel is pee'ing all over him i just thought he wouldn't stick being number 2 to anyone, my guess is really he fancies 1 more season for the cash lol.

Thought they'd keep him, Bottas will stay at Williams as well.

  15. Yep, going to be one of those years where there's minimal line up changes by the looks of it. Not sure what Jenson Button is going to do but I'd love him to stick around for another season.

I feel that McLaren will keep both ALO & BUT.
They'll keep MAG & VAN-D on ice while Honda sort themselves out.

I'll give Honda another year before mclaren drop them.

    To go where?
I doubt if Mercedes will have them back or would Ron Dennis be happy as a customer team for Renault?
As for Ferrari, do make me laugh.
Porsche/VW have said that they're not interested in F1 & I can't see Toyota abandoning their WEC ambitions just yet.
