Just wondered who is and who isn't a dedicated follower of flip flops (or sandals) In my 41 years of existance i've never owned a pair, always worn smelly old hot trainers in the summer (and winter come to think of it). I've been looking at some Birkenstock (sp?) sandals and some flip flops online and thinking that they would be just the ticket but there is something in the back of my mind harping back to days of old when I used to take the mick out of my dad's 'Jesus Creepers'. Surely I'm just being soft? surely I should just get a pair shouldn't I? You don't think I'd look a bit... well... (and I think ive got the correct pc phrase for it) a bit of a wooly-woofter in them? I promise I won't wear socks with them
as long as you dont wear socks it's ok - well i think it is, i can't wait for it to be warm enough, we have a rule at work shorts from easter to halloween, i decided to start early and went in shorts from yesterday wish i could wear flips at work but it would be a tad dangerous.
I live in my birkies from Spring to Autumn. Love, love, LOVE them. But then, I'm a girl, if that makes any difference to your sartorial choices
A bit of a coincidence. I got this email today from confused.com http://www.confused.com/car-insurance/bad-driving-habits?MediaCode=806&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=Newsletter&utm_source=NL26March&utm_content=March Made me chuckle!
I am 45 and have been wearing flip flops 365 days a yr for over 5yrs now. even while working me at the Moon Doo camp for Brighton breeze weekend Your dad's 'Jesus Creepers' i bet were brown and leather my dad had some and I will never ever wear any like that. My favorite brand is Teva but getting in the depths of winter is a mail order job from the States (ebay to the rescue) Wear flip flops and set your feet free. PS the wearing of flip flops whilst driving is illegal and invalidates your insurance. Edit No its not illegal to do it, but it IS dangerous to do it. The loose material could get caught and cause you to have a wreck. Perhaps it SHOULD be illegal. At least, slip your feet out of them while you are driving.
i have been wearin desert welllies and shorts for a week now except the last two nights when i have had a temperature and got very cold , good quality desert wellies are alright , cheap uns hurt yer feet and fall apart .
I spend most of the year in sandals/flip flops & shorts. ^-^ I've taken to these lately, even better than my reef sandals & excellent for when we go kayaking.
