Flat Spot, just power through it?

  1. Hello people,

I'm after a couple of expert/experienced views on how my new 1776 is running.

With a little help from my very good friend (you know who you are) I've recently installed my freshly built 1776. Had a couple of teething problems with the initial set up but its pulling like a train now. Well one minor floor I'd like to iron out if I can; when I let it pick up speed slowly its hardly noticible, but (and its not something I do regular, particularly as I'm still running it in) when I look for a quick pick up it kinda jerks at half throttle, I can accelerate through it and its not exactly show stopping but if I can lose it it'd be a bonus.
The carbs are 36 dells which ran sweet on my 1600, eurocarb suggest jetting is the same for 1600/1776 so kinda ruled that out. No air leaks, all checked and tight as a ducks do dah! Stock fuel pump, leccy Bosch distributor with SVDA to left hand dell.

Any other ideas guys please? Happy to except it as is if that's just the way it is but be nice to get rid if I can.
