Shame about the ticket Ermintrude, I went to Cleethorpes once, it was rather nice! Never taken the bus there tho, will have to remedy that, some lovely long flat roads around Lincs...We used to go to a place near Mablethorpe quite a bit, n watch the seals give birth at Donna Nook......
I got a parking fine in Paris last week on the pickup ,funny how it must have sneaked off the axle stands... cool pictures..
i was visiting my folks and it's only 30 miles from them. i always take the a614, a159 yomp from here and the back roads to cleggy. probably just over two hours all in and nice flat twisty turny roads
wow, didn't know there were seals that way on... how did i not know this before!? tried to get to gweek seal sanctuary years ago but the small cornish road was rubbish for hitching on. i love it as i'm driving and the whole view just flattens out. that's when i know i'm home and can give the bus some welly without those pesky hills getting in the way
I think its usually Nov-Dec the seals come ashore to give birth at Donna Nook, the viewing area is right up close to the seals too...
PCN paid. had a lovely chat with the lady at north east lincs council and told her all about our first time at the coast with the bus. she still made me pay some people have no heart!
