First camp of the year

Where was this please@woodylubber I need to book somewhere close to oakham for this saturday. have you got a contact number or website please.

There's a site we've been to called, I think, Rutland Caravan and Camping which is at a village called Greetham about 4 miles or so from Oakham. We've camped in our tent there a few times and it was the first place we took the bus to.
It's got excellent showers and toilets and taking the back gate out of the site takes you into the village where there's a couple of nice pubs, a shop and a takeaway. The site also backs onto RAF Cottesmore so you should feel right at home

 

Expensive site that one, plus they don't take commercial vehicles, we will have poptopkitchen on the back. They may be a bit funny about it.

Yep deffo not the cheapest. Unfortunately Ali has a minimum standard of toilet and shower facilities which usually come at a cost!

 

that was this years spring camp , Rutland water is the one woody camped at before spring camp and we camped at 2014 spring camp , very cheap £7 a night basic facilities but beautiful setting no hook up . @pkrboo

By the way, does anyone know what facilities are at the site? Assuming toilets? Also I need fresh water, is there a water tap?

 

Yes toilets and water and lots of space, nice and flat and not too far to the pub,enjoy
