Field of Dreams - York Knavesmire - 30-01 Sept 2013

Discussion in 'Shows Events You've Missed unless you went' started by VeeDubKate, Jan 4, 2013.

  1. As you all know, this is an aircooled only show. I had so many requests from watercooled owners asking for the nearest campsites etc as they really want to attend the show even though it's aircooled only. What I decided to do as a thanks for their support, as York Racecourse is massive, there is space for us to have a separate watercooled camping area, rather than people having to pay out for a campsite on top of tickets. This would keep the show aircooled but would enable watercooled owners to come and enjoy too if they would like.

I have just released another batch of earlybird tickets, the first lot sold so fast that I thought as it's still early we should have some more - they are limited and when they're gone they're gone.

The Friday night was going to be an amuse yourself night but we have just confirmed a great band - see our Facebook page for details facebook.com/vwfieldofdreams. Also confirmed is that Jez from Dubtricks will be doing some of our tech talks - wooohooo!

Tickets can be purchased through the website www.classicvolks.com/vwfieldofdreams.html and through the event on our facebook page https://www.facebook.com/events/307686992685533/

Any questions, just ask - if you are setting up a cruise from anywhere and you would like our logo to use, best place to ask me is over on the facebook page [IMG]

  2. Just to let you know Cleggfu and myself will be along to this with the Something Else Tea Tent and crew.

For those of you that know and love the Elemental Show vibe and like a good bit of acoustic music and tea served by wenches in corsets rest assured our corner will feel very familiar :)

    Can't wait!

Also if any of you would like to PM me youtubes and contact details of York area acoustic acts that might be up for playing a set in the tea tent I'm the shabby chic version of Simon Cowell :)

  6. Haha, brilliant - are there a lot of aircooleds in Kelfield then? Is that Kelfield near Selby? - if so, and if you're on Facebook then set a cruise event up and I'll add quite a few that'll be coming from that direction ;-)

  7. There aren't that many air cooleds in Kelfield, Well to be honest ,just one.
We are the only bay in the village.

Lol, I wouldn't dream of holding that against you. Kelfield's a lovely village too - used to take my dog to the Kennels there.

  9. Tommy Cannons ?

  12. Our next meet is tomorrow night - there's quite a lot coming and a cruise of bays that come over from Selby and other places over that way - I can get the details if you're interested in coming along and joining them to drive over.

Anyway, we are meeting at the B&Q on Hull Road in York at 7:30, and then onto the Buckles Inn on the A64 for around 8pm - you would be more than welcome to come along :)

  13. If you'd like to come and want to join the Selby lot they're meeting at McDonalds in Selby at 6:30 and cruising to the Happy Haddock on the A19 for 7pm - I guess that's the best meeting point for you - if you want to, just turn up, they're a friendly bunch :)
