  1. Yo - word up campers

Looking for a family friendly festival for June/July next yr.

Been to Camp Bestival for a few years and love it but it clashes with holiday dates at the very beginning of Aug this yr.

Kids are 6 and 3 and like the stuff kids like - mainly running around shouting.
Me and Mrs Me like anything from Fleetwood Mac and Creedance Clearwater to Leftfield and Grandmaster Flash with a bit of Drum and Base and Jungle thrown in ‘cos I is urban bld. Braaaap!

We live in Bristol and have an eye on Farm Fest and Nibley Festival but any ideas or suggestions would be good.

Yours without a festival to go to

Been to this one. Yes, very family friendly. Quite a trek from that Brizzle though. This is marginally closer, but it’s in August though. Been about 4 times and it’s never disappointed. We’ve never heard of any of the music acts but the music has still been great

Latitude is very kid friendly but it is a long way from Brizzle too.

  10. Latitude in Suffolk is very family friendly but a long way from Bristol and the M25 and A12 are not friendly roads. Would also recommend Weyfest in Farnham Surrey for old rock and roll and steam train rides, a small venue but has flushing toilets and showers!!!!

Camper Calling is a pretty good one and family friendly. You don't get much new music and it mainly full of VWs. Great setting at Ragley Hall.

  16. Thanks folks - lattitude with the chemical brothers would be great but I have only been to Suffolk once - a posh wedding as it happens, I made too much of the free bar and challenged one of my fellow guests to a fight and called a friend of my Mrs’ Husband boring - it was a long drive home in silence, not sure I can go back.

    Glastonbury sold out,

some suggestions to far North - don’t think they have fridges to keep the beer cold up there.

    Jazz - nice

Think I went to Larmer Tree years ago working on a chip van with @Baysearcher - no recollection of it as Clive the boss just made us work, drink and smoke the good stuff until we ran out of chips

This is def worth a look

I knew a lad from Frome once - he was definitely not right. The festival is in the town?

There’s a few people ‘not right’, everywhere. Yes, the festival is over two weeks, so plenty of time to come and visit. I’m sure there will be a online programme nearer the time, but loads to see and do. We get some good bands here too, Happy Monday’s played only 2 days ago. I think 2020 will see a lot of old big bands come here. Foo Fighters played last year and their new album Concrete and Gold, is a nod to the Cheese and Grain, the place they played here. (C & G). And if the biggest rock band in the world plays here...

  20. No suggestions from me, but love the diverse musical taste!

Surely you need a muddy festival to make the syncro earn it's keep
