  2. I can eat anything chili wise. I love them. The hotter the better. Bring it on, bring on the chili's. Yummy...

  3. i dont get it, why smother your food in this stuff so you cant taste the original food?
i dont mind a bit of a kick but i draw the line at a painful mouth on the way in and ring sting on the way out

  4. I dont find it painful at all. In fact i find it cleanses my tastebuds and makes them more receptive and sensitive to taste. Plus i adore the taste of the chili. I enjoy them.

  5. You guys are crazy.
If you're judging your hot sauce by how fast your head explodes then clearly you have more testosterone than taste.
And I would have thought such a condition impossible for an Englishman. ;)

I love the taste too but can't agree it livens up the taste buds!

  9. I was born in Edinburgh. Please note correct spelling. I forgive you though as you are American. :)

  10. Jersey Death Sauce (Made by Blair's) is quite spicy... The Dog's Nuts are nice too!

We have a fair collection of chillis growing, some of the hotter ones are:

    Cayenne - F hot
    Scotch Bonnet - FF hot
    Black Pearl - FFF hot
Naga Jolokia - only just flowering, but expect them to be FFFFFFFF hot !

  12. Phonetically, with my scots accent i'd say edinbery and roll the rr's with my english accent i'd say Edinburru

As i discovered elsewhere in another thread, you cant rely on Googling things all the time. ;D

And just because you pronounce it that way, that doesnt mean thats how its said. :D

It works both ways too of course. We cant do a yippee like Americans can. An american yippee sounds much better than an english yippee. You also whoop and holler much better than we do. ::)

  13. I was once a participant in a chilli sauce eating competition at my last place of work. The 1st round was dipping cocktail sticks in to 5 hot chilli sauces including Daves Insanity and Da Bomb Ground Zero, then licking the sauce off in the quickest time. I was one of 3 contestants to do this in 5 seconds. The 2nd round was eating tortilla chips with a huge blob of Daves Insanity sauce on. After about 7-8 tortilla chips one of the contestants gave up and nearly passed out.
The office manager (an ex marine) then decided that the only way to decide the winner was to take a knife and get me and the remaining contestant to stick out tongues out then smear them with plenty of Daves Insanity sauce. >:D We did not use Da Bomb as we would have been hospitalised!
By this time both me and the other chap were struggling but our macho pride would not allow us to give up. We stood there with our tongues out for 2-3 minutes with sauce being liberally applied every 30 seconds or so. We were both dribbling like lunatics and nearly passing out from the pain when the manager called time and announced a draw.

I had such an endorphin high for the rest of the day - I was floating. Mind you that was about 8 years ago. Not sure I could take that sort of stupidity now ;)
