Fan Housing removal

    Hi Guys,
    I need to replace the spring on the cooler flaps and I read somewhere that you can remove the Fan Housing without removing the engine.
    Does anyone have any links for this?

    Not a hope dude... The oil cooler dictates that the shroud has to be lifted above where the top of the shroud finishes

    Actually is it a type 4??

    Exhaust off, 3 pieces of tin off over the top of the exhaust, fan off, disconnect the alt electric shroud off :)

    Type 1 engine: you're stuffed ;). Just drop the engine. It'll be quicker.

    I know that I have some small oil leak around there as well. Are there any oil seals worth replacing whilst the shroud is off? I have already done the dipstick boot?
