Good morning all. Don't worry Rick, I'll post the quali results as soon as the session's finished. A McLaren / Merc GP 1/2/3/4 maybe?
http://www.wiziwig.tv/broadcast.php?matchid=146683&part=sports I'm watching the - Russia2 TV link via Sopcast. Flawless picture, but Russian coms lol. Ham top - 4mins left.
Here's quali / race start positions: 1. Hamilton. 2. Button. 3. Schumie. 4. Webber. 5. Raikkonen 6. Vettel 7. Grosjean 8. Rosberg 9. Alonso 10. Perez.
Interesting, Vettel using the hard tyre in Q3. ??? I wonder if he'll go for an early pit stop & then run the mediums to the end, the hards seem to go off pretty quickly.
Yep, Kimi starting 10th. Both RBs on the hard tyre and Hamilton had a big mistake in his pole lap, so lots of variables to keep it interesting.
Having lived in Singapore I'd reckon the chance of rain would be higher than that. Watch Raikkonen make up a couple of places at the start.
You know, I've been thinking. It's a long, long run to the first corner. Lewis will be concentrating slightly more on Button in 2nd, paying less attention to Schumie in 3rd. Button will be trying to outwit Lewis and, as a result, Lewis will make one too many glances in his mirrors. And as a result of all that, Schumie (who's the Master-starter anyway) will exit the first corner in the lead. Lewis and Button will continue slugging it out with one another, whilst Schumie stomps away. Then it'll start raining. And that'll secure Schumie's victory. 8)
Id say Schumi certainly a podium. I can see the mclarens coming together, just have that feeling. Think Kimi looks extremely strong this weekend. Will have to see if he set car up for race or qualy.
Mercs won't have solved the problem of killing their tyres. If schumie takes the lead, he'll lose it in the stops on the basis that Ross Brawn will not have the choice when to bring them in and what traffic window to bring them out into. Button and Ham may tussle but they both know that the team points are important, and that a fight with each other is of no long term benefit... The lesson of last years defeats. I'd expect them to fall in line after the first corner and fight it out on strategy.
Mornig F1'ers..... due to me not wanting to miss it and even though i said yesterday "don't forget to put the clocks FORWARD" i made a rookie error.....sky starts at 07.30 and numbnuts here got up at 06.30 so i could have had another hour in my bed. Anyway COME ON JENSON!
Hoping Hamilton has learnt his lessons from last year and doesn't try a do or die move at the 1st corner. He obviously was unhappy with the result last weekend.....lets hope he can put thst behind him and both Mclarens get a clean start. I'd like to see a Mclaren 1,2 on the podium - not that fussed which driver.
