I think it'll be Button, Vettel, Hamilton... Mclaren, Red Bull, Mercedes.

I think Button's race craft is better over a whole race and the degrading tyres often suit him better, if he has his nose in front then that'll leave Vettel fighting Hamilton, who will bicker and race (a bit like Massa / Hamilton last year).

I truly hope Mclaren have broken the strangle hold that Red Bull have had. Mercedes should be closer as long as all their hopes don't rest on an ill-conceived front / arse blowing differ me bob that the the other teams lobby to ban!! Rosberg to beat Schuey.. Mercedes have to be building their cars around him with Schueys technical support rather than the other way round!

If Baydreams edits his 1st post title to something like F1 thread for 2012 season those of us interested can bookmark this thread and just talk F1 on it, is that a good plan? that way rather than starting a load of random threads for every race we can have it all together, so if Baydreams agrees hopefully he will do it.

  5. I think loads of money will be spent on some cars going round and round and not doing much over taking with spoilt over paid drivers stropping, oh yes sorry Vettel, Hamilton, Button.

Nice one matey, getting excited now, if you do twitter there's a load of F1 presenters/drivers etc to follow all tweeting pics and info pre race that just adds to the build up for those who enjoy the sport.

  12. Winter testing suggested the gaps going to be a lot closer this year, but impossible to tell until Sunday's race gets underway.

The Red Bull team aren't buzzing with too much excitement right now - they don't doubt they've still got a top class car, but it's as if they've accepted their outright previous years' dominance may be over.

McClaren seem a little bit more confident than Red Bull.

Mercedes AMG GP seem to be more confident that McClaren (I should think so after all the cash and development they've spent!).

And Ferrari seems to be right down in the dumps. I wouldn't be surprised to see both Lotus (Renault) and Force India push Ferrari down to 6th spot.

But we won't really know where they all stand until race day. It's going to be exciting that's for sure!

  19. i was annoyed and upset with the bbc for shipping it out to sky, coz i dont wanna pay sky for their sports packages, however, my fater in law has sky sports, and i was watchin the F1 channel last weekend, and a couple of times durin this weeks eveings, and i must say i've changed my mind.

Sky coverage is very very good, and as there's a complete channel devoted to it, they can go far more into depth and detail as to rule changes / car changes / driver stats etc than bbc could ever do without upsetting licence payers.

Im actually thinking of gettin sky sports just for the F1 now......cant wait till sunday......

i haven't noticed but is button car 3 this year or did he leave it as hamiltons number? button finished as lead driver so in theory could claim the lower number but i bet he is so laid back he didn't bother, anyone know?
