  3. My last one, I've not really seen since I walked out & left a dear John. I also changed my phone that very day, I did see her about 2 mths later in Next & I hid, then in a night club on a balcony looking right at me. I pretended I didn't see her & sneaked off.

You never really get over them until you find someone better. I've been lucky, Mrs Moons is way better!

If you are feeling low, I can understand how you wonder, and sometimes worry - but certainly for me, my exes have found people better for them than I was - if they havent I can't fix it for them, sounds harsh and I certainly don't wish them any ill, but I'm not repsonsible for all the ills anymore than I'm reponsible for their happyness.

That feeling when you meet someone new, the chase, them saying yes to a date, that first kiss etc - it happens over and over - I think all you can do is pick yourself up, dust yourself off and keep an open mind (as best you can).

I'd quote Witney (jesus who'd have thought I'd do that) and say "I'd rather be alone than unhappy"

I'd also nominate Feargal Sharkey "There's no hard feelings, there's no feelings at all".

  5. I don't think about my ex-wife very often. We are friends but she doesn't half annoy the marmite out of me. We only speak when she wants something.
Married at 21, by 33 I realised we wanted different things in life. She wanted to live with her horses and I wanted to live with a particular 18 year old lady. We both got our wishes, and things have been great ever since.(we didn't have kids)

I married my new young lady , who really is my best mate, we have two lovely kids, and have been together and happy for 11 yrs.

As for the ex, she must be ok , we haven't heard from her for a couple of months. ;)

I did on the odd occasion.
Then about 6 months ago she Tweeted me
The last time we had "spoken" was outside the divorce court over 20 years ago, luckily no children (that was in the pre nup agreement) so the only fight was about who got what of our properties. I've told her we're happy to meet up for coffee one day with her & her partner but haven't heard back from her in the last week or so.
If it means anything I'm still really good friends with all my ex long term girlfriends going right back to primary school. Ms.T thinks it's funny that I've kept in touch (spasmodically) with all of them but says she has never felt threatened about my relationships with any of them.

  9. I ended it with my ex because she was a nymphomaniac (no really) and i was constantly worn out.

Just got this message on facebook off another ex yesterday:
"Is it wrong to say I thought of you last night... in the loo at the new Casino in Stockton. There was a Haynes cut out diagram of a Beetle on the wall!"

    Made me laugh anyway. ;D
