  12. I failed my first interview for becoming an officer in the Royal Artillery - the chap interviewing me stood up as I entered the room and bashed his head on the rather low, sloping, roof. So I got a fit of the giggles. He came to the conclusion my career lay elsewhere.
     
  13. I got one question wrong on my entrance exam which was to provide a synonym for capitulate. I didnt answer. When advised I had only got one question wrong I tried to make ajoke about "no surrender". The wooden top didnt get it. Spose the writing was on the wall from there on in really.

    I wasnt but Michelle was in the Fleet Air Arm, she served in Culdrose, Yeovilton and Northwood many years ago!

    My Uncle Richard was 51 Squadron, flying Nimrods from around 1982 to 2005 ish and my grandad was ex army but I dont know which platoon or anything!
