Oh my word. An eastern bloc ballad was not quite what I was expecting. Thankfully after a pittyful deluge into the song he gives a crowd pleasing key change at 2:13. But what do l know?? Nothing that's what. I've followed the ESC for years and never predicted a winner. For those who need their ESC fix sooner than the actual show, Amazon are taking preorders for the double album of all 42 participating countries. Release date May 7th. I'm that sad that I've pre-ordered it Of note is the amount of song titles not in English. Seems this could be the year the UK win as one suspects no one wants to win it this year.
My sister has been working out in Macedonia last week and sat next to the Macedonian 2012 Eurovision contestant on the flight home. The country's most famous popstar (apparently). She said there was a constant stream of men coming up to have their photo taken with her. So now my sister has been told she has to vote for her. Just checked out the song. ESC arrived early for me. The double CD came today and I've listened to it all; because I'm mad My favourite is Bulgaria. Put money on it to loose. I'm good at picking a loader because I give any song I like the kiss of death. It's full of Euro beats and poppy. Wogan became dull after he got complaints from the Danish for calling their hosts Dr Death and the Tooth Fairy. Graham Norton is excellent and his commentary is more entertaining.
