    £3.50 for a bolt! lol.
Check it isn't sitting on top of your gearbox, that happened to me once.

  2. Thanks, nope, its definitely gone west.

Judging by other bits done on my van, only having 3 of the 4 bolts does not surprise me at all!! :)

Mine's being 30 mins from out...
Do you have a threaded fitting in the engine case for the top left one? I don't, but I suspect there should be one.
One of the fixings you linked to isn't even a bolt, it's an unsuitable set screw (thread all the way up). You really want the lions share of the bolt to be plain (no thread) as it passes through the gearbox. Gearboxes come in two sizes here. Have a measure up and get the right bolt. :)

  4. Cheers Zedders, looks like the part threaded one is the right one.

So do you have a fitting or is yours nut/bolt?

I'm now thinking that might be how they are and it's type-1 cases that have an insert.

At least they are something special...I suppose.
M10x90 plated bolts, £11 for 50 (20p each) or £5 each at heritage.

  13. I haven't got a captive nut, just a nut and bolt, but the bolt head has a long flat head to sits in place allowing you to turn the nut in place without the head moving.

You're right about the top right by the clutch cable.....70 mm isn't even long enough! I make it at least 80mm to engage with the thread on block.

  14. Did you get your engine out ok Zedders?

I've sourced the right 90mm bolt; £1.50 from JK, a bit more reasonable than the £4.50!

Fuel system going back in today, another coat of paint in the engine bay after that, then engine back in over the weekend! :)

Not yet, I'm waiting for seals then it'll be in and out in a day I hope.

  16. My engine has gone back in today.... Nice and smoothly.

Just a few more bits to connect up tomorrow then good to go I hope! ☺️

Is there any need to prime the fuel pump.... Or will it pull fuel through from the tank ok?
