    'scuse the campervan in the way. It's called "creteprint" and it looks like block paving, but is concrete. It's brilliant. Oil can be scrubbed off with a bit of detergent, easy to keep clean, no weeding to do (unlike my next door neighbours on both sides who are constantly scraping moss and weeds out of their block paving :lol: ) and it looks nice. You can have one of a number of different patterns (we went for the fan pattern) and a number of different colours.

    The water main was replaced with a nice spngly new plastic one just before we did it (actually that's part of the reason we had it done - they destroyed the tarmac driveway laying the main) and the cable TV runs in the expansion gap/soakaway down the side. You ahve to have these down each side, they're about 4 inches wide, and we filled them with gravel. The area we had done was about 8m x 5m with 2.4m x 4.5m down the side of the house.
