i can see sun shine....you dont want to be working on it in summer when you should be using it....is that not motivation enough...you know its worth the work for all the hours of driving and camping.
The deal is - 1 - i prep £400 for the bottom half . 2 -i don't prep and my buddy who owns a spray shop gets his apprentice to prep £750 - 850 3 -he does the whole thing top and bottom prep supply paint the works £1600 - 1800 The fluctuation is in the amount of prep needed !
malc don't take offence, but as i've seen it i can say this, as you know 'cos we have discussed, some of your panel gaps and seals are crap, so they need sorting before you waste money on a respray in my opinion.
so the paint job is just a flashover to tidy it up? if so get some paint and do it yourself, a lot cheaper and the results will be not much different.
looks fine malc, any rust will always find a way somewhere or another, if its gona make you feel one n a half k better do it if not spend it on something that will 8).
This could be a 'First' at the next Tekenders. That would be something to write/talk about, a full respray in a field. That is a magazine article just for attempting it. What do you rekon?
