  9. Went to get the dressing off this evening and took the boys along to take pictures. The worst bit was peeling off the gauze a bit at a time, felt horrible. Got some seaweed based dressing on it now that never comes off, so this is the last time (hopefully) that it sees the light of day before it's healed up.

    That's a big ouch :(
When I do something like that I stuff the cut-off bit in place and wrap with masking tape until the blood stops seeping through, then look in a week or 10 days and it's always good. The cut bit doesn't join back, but when I've done it to my finger tips, there's always been new skin c/w fingerprints underneath which puffs back up in a day or two. I think hospitals overdo it and feck it up.

  13. I went to the hospital to make sure the bleeding stopped - it was everywhere. To their credit, they asked me what I was doing and if the knife was clean and just rinsed it and put a pressure dressing on to stop the blood flow.
