As my mum told me its better to be honest and not Lie. That's why I do the cooking in our house cos I don't want to spend the next week in hospital having a stomach pump running 24/7. You can tell her to try and get me in trouble, but she knows already.
We don't go for that many meals out since we had the van ( petrol and food wow who can afford that ) anyhow I digress, we did treat ourelves when we went to London last weekend, we went to a nice Napolitana restaurant in the theatre district. Well, the standard of service, the food, the wine, everything was first class, It was like sitting in a restaurant in Naples. cost a fortune mind. I even left a tip. now anyone who knows me.....
If it is not as good as expected, we send it back- food and wine. Service helps a great deal, but I don't see why I should pay if the consumables are not good enough. We've travelled enough that some aspects of the reticent Brit have been rubbed off us!
Just been down to our local pub in the village. After last night's bad experience with ribeye steak, we thought we might try the local version - the outcome, great seasoned steaks, super service and cost us two thirds of the price of last nights meal. Think we should start going down there regularly ....
