Do you like old aircraft?

  2. Where did you take the photos from?
     
  3. Several Red Arrows flew over our office in Gainsborough today as singles. Don't often see them over town, or on their own.
     
  4. Burton end of the airfield. Had an hour to kill.

    Has an Air Ministry stamp and 1942 on the bottom. looks and feels like a map weight
     
  16. Running out of room now -I have a small list of planes I would like parts from to complete the collection. Need beaufighter, Stirling, Typhoon and Liberator then I have to call it quits :)

  19. Right, that's me done - firstly I've run out of room and secondly I don't think I can beat this - right in the front of the photo

    Its the aerial of a spitfire signed by Douglas Bader and I hadn't yet spent my xmas pressie money on the roof rack that was next on the VW list, sooooooooo..........

    It was signed in he 1950s and for 40 odd years belonged to a Lord Higgins until he died and his son donated it to a local aircraft club in Oxfordshire and the it ended up at a antique dealers.
