I've been carrying a bit as my fuel gauge is mental and have topped up when needed. I think i have the knack of it now.
I don't like carrying it in the van as its always a bit whiffy, plus im always paranoid of it. I would NEVER keep it under the bed, id be paranoid id blow up whilst asleep lol : My fuel gage doesnt work so i go by mileage, i write down the mileage when the tanks full then i know i have at least 200 miles before i need to fill up. Ive only ever run out once and that was when i didnt realise the gauge was faulty.
You mean you had petrol onboard coming back from Malham? you let me think I wasn't going make it home, had my wife and children thinking we may end up stranded on the Moors. That's the last time I share any of Lord Congi's La-Fraig with you Woodster.
I carry a fuel can with some fuel mixed up for my Coleman stove and lamp. But when we park up I put the can outside. Day to day, I dont carry a spare can.
I keep some in a tupaware box under the rock'n'roll bed. Could be worse though. I could keep it in a plastic jerry can in the engine bay like I saw at VoWo this year.
YES! I carry spare fuel in a container i fashioned myself from fig leaves. It's carefully suspended in the engine bay above the ignition system and exhaust!
I have carried spare fuel but I don't usually. I have a green plastic can, a big old army metal jerry can and a small red vintage stylie metal one. Whichever floats my boat on the day. Don't tend to run out so much these days
i carry a plastic jerry can and every time I put a £5er in the tank I assume that will get me 20 miles. my fuel sender actually works but still not quite sure how many miles i've got left when we hit the red
