Do fishes suffer from stress?

Passed loads of those fishing lakes today with the little sheds and the pier noddys for people to fish off of and concluded that must be a harsh life on the fishes.

Imagine every time you get peckish you face the danger of being yanked out of your lake by your lips.

So, can fish get stressed ?

Or do the have not enough memory?

I'm prepared to put up a poll and will provide meaningless statistics to abate my fears.

 

Fish do get stressed very easily especially when the oxygen levels in the water are low

 

Or when the cat sticks its paw in the bowl ;D

 

Nothing could stress or scare my fish of doom...I believe he is actually millions of years old and is the reason the dinosaurs no longer exist...he ate them all...he's pure evil and bit me once...hard ebough to break my skin... I love him though!

However other fish I do think get stressed and yeah quite easily...

i think i'd get stressed if my oxygen level got lol...
I used to get stressed by not catching anything when i used to go fishing..
my dad got stressed onced when he out his hand in my hold hall that had a eel innit it, i'd caught... i *******ed myself laughing..
