At 16 I started to drink alcohol and at 17 whilst on a boys holiday at Chapel St Leonards I smoked 'normal' cigarettes for a week. I've drunk alcohol since then but not smoked, (but not spirits as they all make me vomit), so I am an 80's lager lout and still drink Lager. I tried cannabis in Amssterdam once in the late 90's and it affected my ability to perform normally so I've never had it since. I've not tried any non prescribed medication since and am happy to continue that way as the Lager does what I want at this time.
Only thing I could get on with are e's ,speed and snorting coke ,the others never worked... Now ,I think twice about doing one or two fizzy asprin..

I agree. I’m sure @Barry Haynes you get to see first hand how well behaved drunk people are on a fri/sat night! Tho I do believe that the stuff today’s youngsters smoke is somewhat stronger than when I was a youngster. Now it makes you go a bit psychotic instead of making you wanting to hold hands and sing songs of love and peace (man)
I reckon we dispensed about 4 million prescriptions over the time we owned our Pharmacy. That's a lot of drugs! I missed out a bit at college on the recreational side of things, having seen a guy in the year above me get done for possession and then not be allowed to register as a Pharmacist, even though he'd completed his degree. Made us all a bit careful, so we just drank a lot to make up for it.
