Creative engineering 130PCD rear drum.

  1. Really ? I thought this was the way everyone did the fronts … just google 944 hubs on vw camper

There are a few kits around that do it , i just made my own bracket and spacers …. this is what i have had on the front of my bus for quite a few years .

if you want it for a late bay just change to early drum spindles

  2. Ok, I know of these kits, but as I mentioned, due to laws and regulations in Belgium, I want to limit the mods to a minimum and keep low profile. If a tech inspector in a mot station saw brackets holding the calipers, I will have to come back home on a trailer... And no arguing about how well made they are and how it improves braking. We are VERY limited on the mods we can do on vehicles and what I see in the future is more regulations...
I just want a stealthy way of mounting Porsche wheels on a late bay and liked the idea of redrilling the hub and discs.

  3. I ordered 5x130 drums for my bus from creative engineering on November 20 and had to ask for a refund as I didn't get anything from them.
I send several emails asking when I should get them, being comprehensive with current situation and never get an answer.
I'm dissapointed as I really wanted to use those drums instead of adaptators.:(
I just hope now to get my money back .

  4. Finally, my drums arrived last week.
After a couple of unanswered emails, they informed me that covid situation gave them some hard times and that my drums could be sended if I still wanted them.
109,30€ custom charges later, thanks Brexit, they arrived home.
    And they don't fit...
Drums actually are very nice and sturdy. I still believe that's the best way to fit 5x130 wheels on the back of a late bay, but I feel like a beta tester of this product.
I still wait for an answer from creative to know what to do.

  5. Sorry it hasn't worked out for you.

I remember speaking to him a year or so ago, i posted up what he said earlier in the thread (although i don't really understand it)

Basically to fit these you slide off the standard late bay drum, you apply a small spacer dow the half shaft, then put the 130pcd drums on. There may also be need for a small spacer to fit the porsche wheels exactly, as original porsche wheels differ a lot from one set to another.

He was very helpful and hope he will sort something out for you.

  6. @lhu1281 Can you provide any assistance to our friend across the water please?

Your knowledge/experience may be useful even if @Jean-François has gone a slightly different route

  7. Thanks!

I send a email to creative after posting this, asking if they will help me sort this out.
I can have the drums machined to make them work, but I need to know by how by much or how to measure to not make things worst.
Really, if it was a plug and play job, it is an easy way to fit 5x130 wheels on a Bay.
Drums are German made from Sebro, quality stuff.
Damn I'm not good at hearing and speaking English, I would have call them.

  8. I'll happily call them on your behalf if you want me to.

Please be aware im not a technically minded person. I owner a camper with similar wheels etc but am not one of the forums technical experts!

  9. Thats very kind of you Paul.

I will manage this myself, if only they could answer mails a bit more quickly than a few days.

  11. glad its getting sorted.

Post up plenty of photos of your current rear set up and how you fit the new drums.

Hopefully my current set up is the same as yours!

  12. @Jean-François
You did the same conversion I'm planning to go for.
What is the end of your story? What have you done with the drums to make them fit proper? What did CE say?
    Thanks!
